Tour Information

An enchanting guided natural history walk taking in all the drama of a temperate forest – you will witness the true grit of ancient Yews amidst the unfolding tale of the woodland's own pandemic. The route explores the changing river course, geology, farming and diversity in wild flowers and butterflies. Coupled with a Victorian viaduct, rich local history and a cream tea in a pastoral field, we hope you come away with a sense of being in an English story book landscape. Walking Level: moderate, however this tour includes narrow paths and slopes. We go out in all weathers even the glorious rain, so please come weather-wise prepared. Vegans and allergies catered for. Please arrive by train at picturesque Boxhill & Westhumble Station. The tour will start and end here.
